Course materials: Bring a concealable handgun, and at least 50 rounds of ammunition for each handgun you plan to put on your permit. Both Classroom and outside Range time is required so dress appropriately and comfortably. The following is also recommended but if you don’t have them, do not go an buy them as we will be discussing them in class, the good and bad aspects. Plus we have extra to loan you as needed. So,having said that, also bring if you have them: extra magazines or speed loaders, concealable holster and ammunition carrier designed for concealed carry, a pants belt to carry everything, hearing and eye protection for the range and a brimmed hat or ball cap. If you normally use a Purse to carry your handgun, bring it instead of a belt holster, or bring both if you wish. Sturdy footwear, tennis shoes or cross trainers are advised as we will be moving while shooting. Bring lunch, snacks if desired, water for the range. Again, if you do not have a holster or ammo carriers yet, we have loaners, call to see if we can help you out. Coffee, Tea, Refreshments will be provided.
If you intend to put more than one handgun on your permit, you must bring the above materials for each handgun you want to put on your permit. You are allowed up to Three (03) handguns on your permit. Bring your Lunch and snacks if desired. Coffee, Tea, etc and Water will be available.
If you are new to handgun carry, feel free to call for advice or with questions on handgun carry options. We will cover handgun carry option pros and cons in class as well. This course exceeds the State’s minimum requirements and once we have met those, we will provide additional training and give you some take away skills for additional practice on your own. Real life encounters, including shooting from different positions and some different scenarios well be presented. Contact our staff if you would like to set up a class for yourself or a group. Classes will also be scheduled through out the year. If you are new to shooting on a range, here is a link that will give you some information: Women and Shooting – What to Wear
