SUMMARY:Combat Medicine
DESCRIPTION:This training is a streamlining of the LE/Military “Tactical 
 Combat Casualty Care (TCCC)”\, which is the medical training that U.S. t
 roops are currently taught to save lives on the battlefield. TCCC is the r
 esult of collaboration between U.S. Special Operations Command\, trauma do
 ctors\, and emergency medical personnel to address the shortcoming in comb
 at medicine at the start\, and actually well into the current Wars on Terr
 or. \n\nIt is the combination of good medicine with good tactics. It incor
 porates some procedures that are proven to save lives but in the past 75 y
 ears were shunned in the medical community. TCCC has proven to reduce the 
 number of preventable deaths in violent combat situations.\n\nAlso note\, 
 the mindset for these procedures are not to necessarily save someone’s l
 ife\, but to prevent them from dying long enough to receive hospital level
  care. This is a basic introduction. Due to the live fire nature of this c
 ourse in a pair or small unit\, you must have completed advanced firearms 
 training.  Call if you have any questions.\n\nTreatable Combat Injuries in
  which we can make a difference\na.	Exsanguination  - Bleeding Out  (29 se
 conds and up)\nb.	Obstructed Airway\nc.	Tension Pneumothorax\nd.	Hypotherm
 ia\ne.	Shock\n\nDay 1 = Individual\, Partner\, and Team tactics to suppres
 s the fight\, provide self-aid\, buddy aid and team aid to victims of a vi
 olent force incident such as an active shooter.\n- Exercises will focus on
  equipment and kit setup\, movement with firearms (movement\, over watch\,
  bounding)\, communications (silent\, verbal\, radio)\, use of the persona
 l IFAK\, self aid\, buddy aid and team aid scenarios. Extrication of team 
 mates with drags\, carries\, and litters in a hostile environment. Appropr
 iate medical aid while both under fire and in a secure cover location. \n\
 nDay 2 - Partner and Team tactics to access\, locate\, treat and extricate
  wounded individual(s).  Expanded scenarios with multiple rooms\, building
 s\, vehicle and open spaces with both partner\, and team operations.\n-Exe
 rcises will continue to focus on movement with firearms\, tactics\, commun
 ications and appropriate medical aid techniques while both under fire and 
 in a secure cover location.\n\nRecommended Equipment:\nBattle Belt\, Plate
  Carrier\, or CCW Carry rig\n300+ rounds of handgun ammunition\n3 magazine
