DESCRIPTION:So... Your plan is to bug out into the foothills or even the hi
 gher mountains.  But it is winter\; how are your preps? is your shelter or
  sleeping system up to it?  Food adequate\, or do you need more?  How heav
 y is that pack? Even if you plan to leave by vehicle\, eventually you may 
 very well need to walk.  Might want to try things out before you have to d
 o it for real!  OR - you camp and hike a lot in the winter but haven't bee
 n caught out overnight\, yet.  You carry a day pack of incidentals\, just 
 in case.  Have you actually used these items?\n\n\nWe will spend the night
  in the foothills at about 3000'.  We will hike for one mile just to see h
 ow things work\, how well they carry\, make adjustments as necessary and g
 enerally test out what you planned to do.  Using your shelter and sleeping
  system\, food preps and fire building we will camp overnight - NO MATTER 
 the weather!\n\nDiscussions and class will be ongoing throughout the day a
 nd evening as to what is working\, what could be better\, etc...  We will 
 also compare gear and try out various pieces of kit.  Discussion will incl
 ude\, equipment\, sleep systems\, shelter options\, navigation\, fire buil
 ding\, cooking over an open fire in addition to carried cook systems.  Ste
 alth and camouflage along with signaling and visibility and other communic
 ations are items of interest in this situations as well.\n\nBring:  Bug ou
 t bag\, (sleep system\, shelter\, clothing\, food\, cooking\, water purifi
 cation\, etc...)  Knife\, cordage\, bushcrafting tools such as a saw\, hat
 chet/axe\, etc   Call if you have questions.  Some equipment will be avail
