Can you use a map and compass? Can you use different maps and map scales? Use a GPS? Navigate without a map, and/or build your own map? How about navigation without a map or compass, or a GPS, can you still navigate and find your way out of the wild?
This is another fun class for adults or youth where we learn to use our skills to find our way home, or back to camp.
Bring: Wear clothes and dress to be outside all day, lunch, fluids, note taking material (highly recommend Rite in the Rain notebooks), knife, bug out bag or bushcrafting kit if you have one. Compass, GPS and map of your local or favorite area. DO NOT go and buy one for the class as we will be discussing pros and cons of different compasses, GPS and maps. We will provide anything you do not have for the class. Give us a call with any questions or equipment needs.
